Florida Gators in the NBA: 12/19/12

Former Gator David Lee was named the NBA Western Conference Player of the Week this past week. He joins Al Horford as the only other former Gator to earn such honors this year. Lee and Horford are two of 10 former players who have been in action this season in the league.

Bradley Beal, Washington Wizards
Beal is continuing to improve as his rookie season progresses. In 22 games, Beal is averaging 12.5 pgg, 3.6 rpg, and 2.3 apg. Against Houston on Wednesday, December 12, he scored 20 points. It marked the second time this season Beal had scored at least 20 points.

Matt Bonner, San Antonio Spurs
Bonner has played in 23 games this year for San Antonio. He is averaging 3.9 ppg and 2.2 rpg. In five games last week, Bonner scored 11 points and collected six rebounds.

Corey Brewer, Denver Nuggets
Brewer has continued to be a solid contributor off the bench for Denver this season. Through 26 games, he is averaging 11.7 ppg and 3.1 rpg. In the Nuggets? latest outing against San Antonio on Tuesday, December 18, Brewer scored 16 points.

Udonis Haslem, Miami Heat
Haslem has started the past three games for Miami. He is scoring 4.0 ppg and pulling down 4.8 rpg for the Heat this season. Against Washington on Saturday, December 15, Haslem tallied a season-best 13 points.

Al Horford, Atlanta Hawks
Horford had his streak of seven-straight double-doubles broken on Thursday, December 13. He is still averaging a double-double on the year with 15.8 ppg and 10.0 rpg. Horford is tied for 10th in the league in rebounding average and is one of 12 players to be averaging a double-double.

David Lee, Golden State Warriors
The Western Conference Player of the Week has been on an absolute tear, as of late. In last week?s four games, Lee recorded three double-doubles and scored at least 20 points in each game. He is averaging 19.5 ppg and 11.4 rpg for Golden State this season. Currently, Lee ranks fourth in rebounding and 11th in scoring in the league.

Mike Miller, Miami Heat
In 20 games, Miller is averaging 3.7 ppg and 2.4 rpg for Miami. In last week?s three games, Miller scored six points and recorded six rebounds.

Joakim Noah, Chicago Bulls
Noah continues to lead Chicago in rebounds, steals, and blocks. He is averaging 13.6 ppg and 10.6 rpg. Along with Horford and Lee, he is one of 12 players in the league to be averaging a double-double. In Chicago?s latest game against Boston on Tuesday, December 18, Noah recorded his second-career triple-double of the year.

Chandler Parsons, Houston Rockets
Parsons has started every game this season for Houston. He is averaging 15.3 ppg, 6.6 rpg, and 3.7 apg. Last week, Parsons had 13.5 ppg and 7.0 rpg.

Marresse Speights, Memphis Grizzlies
Speights has played in every game this year for Memphis, averaging 6.0 ppg and 4.6 rpg. Against Denver on Friday, December 14, Speights had 14 points, his third game of the season scoring in double-figures.?
