It has been years since a new Hitman?title has come out and with Hitman: Absolution coming out next year, a new piece of information about the game has come out. This time, it is about the game?s difficulty levels.
In an interview with Eurogamer, lead producer Hakan Abrak of IO Interactive gave details about the game?s ?hardcore? difficulty which is aimed towards veterans of the series. The difficulty, and the achievements/trophies that are associated with it, require the stealthiness and discretion of 47.
?It?s more pacify your enemies, be undetected, maybe solve the challenges in a smarter way. That will probably give you a stealth assassin achievement,? Abrak said.
While most fans might doubt the direction of the new game because of the lack of gameplay showing the stealthy version of 47, Abrak said that veterans of the games will not be disappointed.
?We have a lot of difficulty levels in the game as well,? he said. ?Rest assured, the hardcore fans that like to have replayablity value in the game or want to have this stealth assassin ? you know, I?m the ultimate stealth assassin ? that playing style, those achievements, are very much in the game.?
The ?hardcore? difficulty level has a name that Abrak said will please hardcore fans, but it will be a while before the name will be revealed.
