COVINGTON, La. - A Northshore community has rallied around a local high school this morning, which police say was heavily vandalized last night.

Swastiskas, the sign 666, and other expletives were discovered this morning at St. Paul's High School in Covington.

Parents and students responded immediately with paint, brushes and pressure washers to cover up the vandalism. The Covington Police Department is now investigating the vandalism and actively looking for the people who committed this crime.

Covington police say they will be facing not only vandalism charges, but also hate crime charges.

Police also found a possible suspect signature that read "CHS '13", which stands for Covington High School class of 2013.

At this time, it is unclear whether anyone from Covington High School was involved.
